- Use the latest version of macOS. Update to the latest version of macOS. Go to Apple menu.
- Connect with adapters for your MacBook. If the cable from your external device doesn't connect to the USB-C port on your MacBook, you might need an adapter. Learn how to use the USB-C port and adapters.
- To get service for your Mac, you can make a reservation at an Apple Store or an Apple Authorized Service Provider. Make sure you know your Apple ID and password before your appointment. Or, if you have a Mac notebook, contact us and we'll send you a box you can use to.

Use the latest version of macOS
Update to the latest version of macOS. Choose Apple menu > About This Mac > Software Update. If you’re using macOS Mojave or earlier, choose Apple menu > App Store. See if there’s an update available.
Sign in
Choose Apple menu > System Preferences, then click Apple ID. If you’re using macOS Mojave or earlier, click iCloud. Enter your Apple ID. When you sign in, iCloud is turned on automatically.
